BSA Troop 51 generally meets
Mondays, 7:00-8:30 pm
at St. Mary's Episcopal Church,
10630 Gravelly Lake Drive.
Boy Scouting is available to boys who have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old, or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10, or who are 11 but not yet 18 years old. The BSA program objective is to develop character, citizenship, and personal fitness. No previous scouting experience is required and you may join at any time of year.
The vision of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Oath (or Promise):
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
Scout Law:
A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
